  • About Me

I'm happily married with 6 fur-babies! (2 dogs and 4 cats and they are all special needs.) My life is dedicated to helping animals in some way or another. I've practically made a full time job out of couponing. I've been doing this for a little over a year and I'm addicted! It seems to always amaze people how much I'm able to get for very little money so I thought it'd be nice to share! It is very time consuming but worth every penny saved! I also hope to help new couponers get into the game!

Pet Supply Stock Up!

Published by couponanimal under Uncategorized Edit This

It’s tax return season and that means stocking up on pet supplies! I try to stockpile flea and heartworm prevention around this time every year. It’s something they have to have and it’s by no means cheap so I shop around to get the best deal!
I’m also $100 over what I spent last year and I didn’t even buy an entire years worth of everything, but I guess that’s what happens when you add 2 new family members!
I also try to stockpile food since it’s shelf life is typically 1-2 years.

I ordered from Doctors Foster and Smith. They are reliable and their products are guaranteed. They are also running a special on flea/tick prevention right now! (Yay for me!) I also ordered through the EBates website so I will get 6% back on my order. Plus I had a $5 off coupon from the catalog! On top of that they are offering free shipping for these products. You just can’t beat this deal!

Flea and HW Prev:
(2) Iverhart Max 12 pk 120.32 -20 sale =100.32
(2) K9 Advantix 6 pk 149.98 -20 sale =129.98
(1) Advantage Multi for fat cats 6 pk 74.99 -10 sale =64.99
(2) Advantage for fat cats 6 pk 123.98 -20 sale =103.98
-$5 coupon

Total: $394.27; Total Savings: $75.00
*I think my savings is actually a lot more considering I would have paid another $10-20 per item at the vet office, plus I saved on shipping and gas!
Oh and I will get $23.65 back from EBates!

Food:
(1) Purina One Cat Dry Food 12.99 -1.50 sale -$3/1 q =8.49
(1) Purina One Old Dog Dry Food 31.99 -3.00 sale -$3/1 q =25.99
-$3 Petsmart Q

*I swear their food costs more than ours!

(2) Purina One Cat Dry Food 13.98 -2.00sale -(1)$3/1 q -(1)$3.50/1 q =5.48
(1) Purina One Dog Dry Food 19.49 -2.50sale -(1)$4/1 q =12.99
(1) Purina One Dog Can Food 1.34 (cashier screwed up free q)* =1.34
-$5/$25 competitor q -5.00

Total Including Tax:$16.58; Total Savings:$20.00

*I don’t know what it is about the Publix cashiers lately (no offense) but they have really been screwing up my coupons! It’s my fault for not saying anything. When she scanned the “free” coupon she put in $3 instead of $1.34 and then took it off when she realized what she did. But then she didn’t put the right amount back in. Ugh..oh well the can food gets donated anyway.
