  • About Me

I'm happily married with 6 fur-babies! (2 dogs and 4 cats and they are all special needs.) My life is dedicated to helping animals in some way or another. I've practically made a full time job out of couponing. I've been doing this for a little over a year and I'm addicted! It seems to always amaze people how much I'm able to get for very little money so I thought it'd be nice to share! It is very time consuming but worth every penny saved! I also hope to help new couponers get into the game!

KMart, Rx GiftCards and other deals!!

Published by couponanimal at 2:48 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Last year KMart started a promotion and offered double coupons up to and including $2! That’s potentially $4 off a product! In some cases, the prices are so high it’s not worth it, but with the coupons that are out there’s potential for a A LOT of free stuff!! I’m planning a small trip for this week just to pick up a few freebies and a couple of other things that are decent deals.

The promotion is not offered in all areas this time. It seems they are breaking up which stores are offering it during different weeks. Also, this time certain stores are only doubling up to $1…okay deals I suppose, but really not worth driving 45 min for me. Luckily my KMart is doing the $2 doubles but it’s this week only!

Rules: Only 25 coupons per person/day. (Last time it was 75!) Only 1 coupon per item…duh. Only 4 of the same coupon allowed. That’s where the hubby comes in! You get 4 and he gets 4! He’s so good to me…putting up with my crazy couponing!

Last year I got some great deals, but I spent a little more than I intended. I spent about $75 on almost $300 worth of stuff.  I won’t go to overboard this time around. Although probably half of what I got was in pet food and treats that I donated to 2 shelters for Christmas.

Speaking of KMart there was also a $30 free Gift Card offer when you purchase any 2 new or transferred prescriptions. If I had that many prescriptions, I would definitely take that offer!

Other Free GC prescription offers include:
BiLo - $20 for 1 transferred prescriptions EXP 1/20 (found in last weeks ad)
Target - $10 for 1 new or transferred prescriptions EXP 1/26
Walgreens - $25 for 1 new or transferred prescriptions (only at new stores) Exp 1/17
Rite-Aid - They usually have one for $20-30, but I really dislike this store…not worth the hassle to me!

*I just recently had a transferred Rx to Walgreens and got a $25 GC. That’s free money! You are only eligible for a GC if you haven’t received one in the past 6 months and it is not transferred from another of the same store (i.e. Walgreens to Walgreens).
I am dying for Publix to come out with one! Maybe Wally World will get in on the trend too.

Sunday Paper Coupons - It was worth getting 2!! I got the Rx GC Q’s, a $3/10 Walgreens Q and some other really good grocery Q’s. There’s also $4/2 Olive Garden Entrees that might appeal to some…I pretty much just get salad and breadsticks anymore. They took the good stuff off the menu! Oh and the Windex rebate..great deal!! They are B1G1 Free at Walgreens this week. Buy 2 and use the (2) .40/1 Qs that came out as well today…send in the rebate and get your $ back and make .80. Not huge, but free is good!
