  • About Me

I'm happily married with 6 fur-babies! (2 dogs and 4 cats and they are all special needs.) My life is dedicated to helping animals in some way or another. I've practically made a full time job out of couponing. I've been doing this for a little over a year and I'm addicted! It seems to always amaze people how much I'm able to get for very little money so I thought it'd be nice to share! It is very time consuming but worth every penny saved! I also hope to help new couponers get into the game!

Publix, Sams and Petsmart

Published by couponanimal under Uncategorized Edit This

A couple of “necessities” trips are listed: Sam’s and Petsmart. They aren’t super great deals but I have posted them since they are being added to my spending tally.

Petsmart:
(1) Nutro Max Senior Dog Food 31.99 - 3.00sale = 28.99
Total including tax 31.02; Saved 3.00 …at least is was on sale.
(Ugh…sometimes this really hurts the pocket book, but my pets are my children and worth every penny. They are on high quality food so it costs more and unfortunately the company hasn’t produced any coupons yet this year. Last summer I stocked up and spent about $200 after coupons on dog and cat food. This is the 1st time I’ve had to purchase it since! I guess I can’t complain when I’ve gone 6 months w/o a pet food bill.)

Sam’s:
(1) 6.5 lb bag chicken breast 13.73
Total including tax: 13.87
I can’t really say how much I’ve saved, but I would have probably payed double or triple this if I purchased it at a grocery store. This will last us at least a month.

Publix:
(1) Publix Bread .89 saved .34
(1) 4pk Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup 1.99 saved 1.90
(2) Baked Cheetoes 6.00 saved 1.58
(1) Publix Frosted Flakes 2.59 (penny item 1/4-1/5)

Q’s used:
(1) Publix Penny Item -2.58
(2) $1/1 Baked Lays - 2.00
(1) .40/4 Campbells .40 doubled - .80
Total before Q’s: 15.29
Sales savings: -3.82
Coupon savings -5.38
Total including tax: 6.09; Savings: 9.20
*For those of you that are unfamiliar with Publix: every Sun and Mon there is a “Penny Item” coupon in the Publix Ad on Sunday. At participating Publix you will get an item for .01 if you bring this coupon. Every week it’s something different. It’s usually an item that cost between $2-3. That’s a nice savings every week!
